A rare picture of Dick Morrissey, a very famous tenor sax player who played with the JWG every week.
We "discovered him" playing at a gig in Kingston-on-Thames when he was 18 years old.
We like to think that because he played with us at our Jazz Club, the famous jazz musicians who played with us each week got to hear his obvious talent and this helped him in some small way to become the well known jazz professional he eventually turned out to be.
