An early rehearsal before we really started playing gigs, in Ron's parents front room - Ron was probably 15.
John West - Accordion. Alan Rodger - Clarinet. Trevor Nicholas - Violin and mandolin and Ron on piano.
We called ourselves "The Hamptonaires Dance Band" when we were at Hampton Grammar School.
Our first gig was on Eel Pie Island.
